October Sketch Challenge - Magpie Club

ve made this LO using a wonderful sketch over at Magpie Club. The LO is for my BOM, the challenge was to show of your favorite things or collection.

At first I thought that this challenge would be quite easy. Then I realized that I don´t collect anything, all my stuff is packed down in boxes in a garage a 10 hour drive away and I got really stuck. Then I started thinking about what I really would want to share with my future children. My shoes? My handbags? My makeup? No... I want to share my memories, my dreams and my knowledge. These are the things I collect and that I could not live without. So, I ended up with a new challenge. How do I make an LO that shows of this collection?

I have used a photo from the tribute to John Lennon in New York, Imagine. I let that represent my dreams. I used a key and a keyhole from Tim Holtz. The key has the word memory imprinted on it, reflecting my memories, and the keyhole reflects my seeking and unlocking of knowledge.

Materials used:
  • November 2008 kit from Kraft Girl Kits
  • Word Keys from Tim Holtz
  • Key Hole from Tim Holtz
  • small rub on alphas from doodlebug
  • mini shimmer alpha from MM

Hi Siri,
Thank you for being the first to enter your layout - I love it. I love the keys, love the paper - it is fab. I think I would struggle with the challenge, although I do have a few collections, cook books being one of them!! I will have to give it a go!!
Thanks again Siri and good luck.
