My first two in one!

The challenge over at ABC Challenge is F is for Flower. I also noticed that over at My time to craft, the challenge is nature, so I thought, those two should be quite easy to combine. I tried reading to see if they have any rules against entering the same card in more than one challenge, but could not find it. So here we go:

This card has a lot of reclaimed, some vintage stuff on it. The big flower is actually from a fabric swatch that I kept after tidying up the material storage in my first job as an interior architect. I kept piles of fabric that was no longer available. Finally I´ve got something to use them on!

I used spray mount to stick the fabric to some with card stock before cutting it out. I then embellished the flower with glass beads. The ribbon at the back is vintage, from my great grannys stash. The blue one in front is just bought on sale... hehe... I loved this button because it didn´t have the traditional round holes in it, but tho slits, so that I could use it as a "buckle" (Its the middle of the night, and I cant remember the paper crafting word for it!)

Materials used:
  • card blanc
  • Patterned paper from the Fruitcake line, Basic Grey
  • Vintage ribbon, my grannys stash
  • Ribbon, Panduro
  • Vintage button, my grannys stash
  • Fabric
  • Glass beads

This is so lovely... and it is great to see an example using fabric and beads, etc. instead of paper for a change! Gorgeous work.

I love how you repurposed the fabric and button!! I also really like how you put the beads on the flower and the trim is really unique as well. Fab! :>
