70th birtdahy card

My Granny is keeping me occupied with all her friends birthdays. Thats great for me, not only do I get a purpose for my card making, but she´s paying for them as well!

I´m really happy with this card, I love how it came out. The button flowers is a favorite, and I´ll probably use them for another project as well. All the buttons came from my Grannys button jar, so they are all recycled from old clothes. I have big plans to put a note up in my local shop (I live in a tiny island, about a 100 people) asking for old buttons. I´m assuming that every old lady has a magic button jar ready for me to rampage through!

The backing paper is from K&Company, the flourish for the stems hare hand drawn. The lettering is printed on photo paper and cut by hand. I made a matching envelope using a flower from the same paper and corner stamps.

Big Sister

This card is for Sofia (2 years), who has become a big sister to two screaming babies. I thought she would like getting a card adressed to her, made for her. The twins are probably getting quite a lot of attention!

For the card I have used patterned paper from Tilda Papercraft and from Basic Grey. The blue sircle is Core´dinations. The girl is actually a Magnolia stamp that I traced from a magazine.

New Twins!

I Made this card for a childhood friend how all of a sudden got twins (they came a month early..) Of course, she had a boy and a girl, Probably just to make things difficult for me. Luckely I just got my Core´dinations Super Assortment Pack from ACOT, so I had more colours to choose from. The Stamp came with "Cardmaking &Papercraft", and it was just perfect for this card! I also used rub-ons and an embossing texture plate from Fiskars. I sanded down the sides of the blue card, but I wish I had some more inks, so that I could distress it some more!

My first Card

The first card I ever made was a birthday card for one of my Grannys friends. Unfortunatly it has dissapered from the face of the earth. It is nowhere to be found, and I had to make a new on.

I get easely bored, and I don´t like to do the same thing twice. I thougth that my Gran wanted my first card became another birthday greeting.the same card, so I just let it hang in the back of my mind and concentrated on other cards. Therefor my first card became a card for a wedding.
I´m not very pleased with it. I hardly had any materials or cardstock, so the motif was choosen out of lack of choise, and not out of a design perspective. I´ll probably make a new one at one point. I made the butterfly using a template from Fiskars. I do like how it came out, but the background could be developed more I think.
