Wallpaper samples from Designer Guild

I love using materials not initially designed for paper craft in my card making. I was buying a wedding gift, and the shop had loads of cut offs from beautiful Designer Guild wallpaper. I ended up buying 5 different prints (One of them are left overs from my bedroom, and yes, it is the loudest of them (the one with huge, pink flowers)). The pattern repeat is as follows:
  1. Vertical repeat 52 cm
  2. Vertical repeat 52 cm
  3. Vertical repeat 68,5 cm
  4. Vertical repeat 68,5 cm
  5. Vertical repeat 80 cm
  6. Vertical repeat 52 cm

1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6.

This means that the patterns are quite large, but I still think they would look good on both cards and LOs. The single coloured wallpapers are not actually one colour but has golden stripes in them. They look so great! The pink one has this beautiful satin finish to it and a lovey texture. As I wrote in an earlier post, I´m planning a blog candy, and I will include quite large cuttings from these wallpapers as well. Of course, there will be loads of "ordinary" stuff as well, I just have to get it first!

ABC challenge

Finally, I´m ready to post a new card. The stuff I´ve been making lately are kind of secret, so I don´t have much to post! I think it would ruin the surprise....

This is one of my first cards with an inside and back. Well... all of them has that, but I´ve done something to them! Almost everything I´ve used are new stuff from Scraporama and a great sale in Ålesund. It´s also my first official try with painting with distress inks. I din´t have all the colours I wanted, so I mixed them with water colours. I´ve also used glimmer mist, another great buy at Scraporama. I´m hoping that is enough glitter for ABC! (I suddenly realised that the pictures don´t show of the glimmer mist very well, but I´ve actually used it on 3 out of 4 pages!)

Materials I´ve used:
  • card blanc, Panduro
  • hand made paper and orange paper, unknown (bought at Sponland in Ålesund 50% off!)
  • Daler Rowney Rough Watercolour paper
  • Lily and Milo Clear stamp, Rachelle Anne Miller
  • Fancy rub-ons, Fancy Pants Design
  • Quote, single stamp 015 stempelglede
  • Swirl stamp, Heidi Swapp
  • Assorted inks

Buttons, buttons, buttons....

I went to the local shop yesterday. I was looking through some old stuff they had lying around (they have loads of strange old stuff (not food of course...hehehe)) and found loads of buttons. I started going through them, but there was so much that I just decided to ask how much they wanted for all of them. I paid $7,50 for the hole lot. That's including the ribbons. The packaging says "Hair-Bows". I love it!

I´ve just started to get together my own blog candy, and I will definitely include some of these. There are a bunch of cute flower shaped buttons as well!
