My Grafico - Sponsor of DT over at Scrapbooking and Crafting friends!

A couple of weeks ago the DT members over at Scrapbooking and Crafting Friends got the wonderful news that My Grafico would sponsor us with digital stamps every two weeks. A few days ago this wonderful set arrived in my inbox.

I really liked it, and since I´m experimenting with my Cougar right now I decided to cut out one of the designs as a silhouette from patterned paper.

I LOVE how it came out! I used the cut out on the envelope, and matted the silhouette on dark brown Bazzilll paper. I added a Swarovski crystal for the eye and some pearls at the bottom.

On the inside I used another bird from My Grafico, this one is actually a free bee (!!!!) called Perched Birds I doodled a frame and that was it! I love the result, and I hope Elisabeths father who turns 80 today will like it!

Have a look over at My Grafico, they have so many great designs! I´m definitely using more of them :-)

Materials used:
  • digital stams from My Grafico
  • Cardstock; Bazzill
  • Patterned Paper; Sassafrass Lass
  • Swarovski crystal
  • Pearls; Basics by Kaisercraft

DT Stampers Division #3

This time our DT will be creating crafts using stamps and coloring with multi-colored markers and/or shading.

I have recently started experimenting with Letrasets Tria Markers. I used them while studying Interior Architecture, but I never really got the grip of them. I have been contemplating using the ProMarkers, they are so much cheaper! But I love the Trias I´ve got, and the new design is even better. They have a brush tip that makes them great for colouring! I bought a few new ones a while ago, and I also invested in the heavyweight cartridge paper by Letraset and I´m so glad I did!

The background is the Gloss Paper from Ranger. I have coloured it using three different inks. I have also fallen in love with this paper. You can do so much with it!

The waves are thee different ribbons, two ric rac ribbons and one other. I quite like the effect of them!

Materials used:
  • Gloss Paper; Ranger
  • Heavyweight Cartrige Paper; Letraset
  • Tria Markers; Letraset
  • Stamp; Tilda Papercraft
  • Ribbons; Unknown

Go Green DT Challenge #2

The item to reuse/recycle this time around is CARDBOARD

Create 1 craft (or more if you wish) by using CARDBOARD = whether it's from a cereal box or other like packaging from a cardboard base or reusing cardboard from paper towel rolls or toilet paper rolls, or anything like that. Let us know what you reused/recycled when you post. Have fun! Can't wait to see your creations!!!

My project this time is the altering of a, sad to say, empty chocolate box. I use it for the cash I get when selling my cards. Sadly, I tend to spend them at new paper and stash as soon as I get them....

I (strangely) decided to use my brand new cutter to make a "title" for my box. Pengeskrin=money box. This was my first attempt to both weld and cut, still have a lot to learn!!

I also cut out some flowers, four different shapes, that I assembled together. I made flower centers using some round blings I got in a magazine.

The sides of the box was covered using cut of wallpaper I got from a design shop. I have to get some magnets to place on the flap.

Materials used:
  • Chocolate box
  • Bazill paper: Bling and Canvas
  • Wallpaper: Designer Guildt
  • Blings
  • Geen Ribbon

Stampers Division DT #2

For the 2nd Project for the Stampers Division it can be ANY THEME but we are looking for the stamping project to be created with or include colored pencils and/or water color in some way.

I have used one of the stamped images I got in the RAK from the lovely Kim. I just adore this image, and the sentiment :-) I have coloured the image using my fantastic box of Derwent Watercolour pencils. I also have used some of my Sakura Gelly Roll pens and inked the edges using Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

Materials used:
  • Dotted Paper: KI Memories - Jack+Abby Apron Dot
  • Card stock: assorted Bazzill paper
  • Inks: Distress Ink - Vintage Photo
  • Pens: Sakura Gelly Rolls
  • Art Masking Fluid, Daler Rowney

Summer birtday card

This is my entry for the Card Creations DT project #2:

For the theme this time around...create a card (or more than 1 if you wish) that includes anything that reminds you of summer whether it's the colors of summer, a stamp or image, a phrase, etc.

I have really fallen in love with K&Company Amy Butler Lotus Collection. I just bought one sheet of the Faded China Poppy Fields, but I had to go back and buy more. I ended up buying one sheet (or maby two.....) of each!

For this card I have also used the backing card for MM clear stamp storage folders. The green card with white dots matched the patterned paper perfectly!

Materials used:
  • Patterned paper: K&Company - Amy Butler Lotus Tea Box Grandiflora Flat Paper
  • Cardstock: Making Memories - clear stamp storage folders backing paper
  • Ricrak Ribbon: Unknown
  • Flowers: Nille, assorted Prima Flowers

Stampers Division DT

This is my entry for the first Stampers Division DT. I decided to post one of the pages from my first acrylic album. I used StazOn ink in Dove Gray and stamped a flower pattern all over the heart sheet. I then used clear embossing powder and heat embossed the hole heart. The acrylic sheet bent a little, but I like the look of the "well used heart".

I inked it using Adirondack Alcohol ink in two colours (green and brown), blending them together at the middle. I also inked the edges of the heart using the brown alcohol ink. I used the blending solution and the Pearl Mixative.

The stamped sentiment says: The heart is made so that there is always room for more. I used Timber Brown StazOn ink for this.

The green flowers ties in with the rest of the album, and the photo is of me and two of my bfs. The album was made for one of them and I gave it to her on her hen night last weekend. I will probably post more pages from it at a later point. It ended up with about 3o LOs, so there is a lot to pick from!

Materials used:
  • StazOn ink: Dove Gray, Timber Brown
  • Adirondack Alcohol Ink: Blending Solution, Pearl Mixative, Caramel, Lettuce
  • Flowers: Nille
  • Sentiment : Kreativ Hobby

Go Green DT Challenge

This is my first entry for the Go Green DT. This challenge was open, no restraints! (In other words, extremely difficult....) This DT will probably be the most challenging one of the three I´ve joined, but its a great one because it makes you think in a more earth friendly way!

I´ve been wanting to use newspapers for flowers for quite a while, I do love to make my own flowers! I also like the almost vintage look of the paper. It was somewhat difficult to shape the roses, I will have to work some more on them at later point! After I finished them I inked the edges using a pink ink pad, giving the petals a more flowery feel. I also fond a page that had a picture of a woman in a red/pink jacket to give the card a bit more colours.

I found the photo at the back of a newspaper. Unfortunately I did not remember to write down the name of the photographer or when it was taken. I do believe I remember it was taken in the fifties, but it might just as well have been taken last year. I love the way the couple is looking out onto the landscape. I feel they are on their way to something great. The hole worlds is at their feet!

Materials used:
  • Card Blanc, Panduro
  • Newspaper
  • Vintage button
  • Satin Ribbon
  • Stamp, Unknown
  • VersaCraft Ink
  • Aplphas, Unknown

Owl card

I hope you have all visited the new and fast growing crafting network Scrapbooking and Crafting Friends. I have been lucky enough to join three of the Design Teams :

This card is my first entry to the Card Creations DT. I have totally fallen in love with the Sassafras Lass papers, but I have been wondering how to use them. I am not that used to use patterned paper with quite so much pattern! I bought the Owl stamp at Scraporama in March, and this is the first time I have used it. One of my bfs just finished her master degree and I thought the owl would be appropriate for such a smart woman!

Materials used:
  • Card Blanc, Panduro
  • Patterned paper, Serendipity "Hog Heaven", Sassafras Lass
  • Stamp, Prima (coloured with distress ink)
  • Sentiment, Unknown
